Sounds like pretty simple business and politics to me. China takes issues on sovereignty more seriously than most countries, so if google comes in guns blazing, good luck getting in at all. By censoring and getting into china in the first, it set up google to make a move like this. The hackers gave google the perfect excuse to turn on its previous claims. I would damn well hope that google made a profit in china, censorship or not. Google still has a business to run.

There is nothing “evil” about this.

yes, iPad will expand the eBook market, which will ultimately benefit kindle.

amazon will be an also-ran, and forced to carve out a niche or die a slow death.

iPad will be the benchmark.

Wow I just happened to stumble on this blog looking for stock photos for my company. I have this! I get it much more severely than you seem to, it usually covers the sides of my pointer finger, and scattered on the top of my thumbs, etc. Its really interesting to find a name for it, its very visible on me, but happens pretty rarely. Thanks for this post which I randomly found!

I bought an apartment security system on the internet, paid for second day air shipment and specifically requested “Please require signature and ID for delivery”.

I tracked the package and expected delivery today, but nevertheless had to go to work. When I arrived home this afternoon, there was no UPS delivery slip on the outside door of my apartment building. Instead, the package sat in the apartment hallway, slit open. All the contents appear to be intact. But I have no clue how the package got opened, who (if anyone) viewed the contents, or why UPS finds it impossible to actually follow directions, and instead just dumps packages with the slightest excuse.

I will never buy anything again from anyone who ships by UPS. It just isn’t worth the stress.
