Wii Boxing Workout: I broke through the plateau!

Sort of… I guess I had to blog about it.
Today, I managed a new record on the bags: 28.
I also beat Matt. I was very excited for my next match where they paired me up with…. Matt again. And this time he beat me again, so that extra 64 points was taken back immediately. *sigh*

Wii Boxing Workout Plateau

I am stuck on a Wii boxing plateau. Everyday for my workout, as I am boxing opponents, I beat Elisa, then I go up to Matt, who beats me, then I beat Elisa, then Matt beats me, etc etc. I’m averaging 23-26 punching bags in training mode. I’ve been hovering around the level in the [...]

Wii Workout Month 2

I’m well into the second month of my Wii Boxing Workout. There were a few days last week when I was traveling with Kristin where I let it slip, but other than those brief interruptions, I’ve been sticking to the routine. 5 days a week, I’m alternating doing 300 or 500 crunches (500 on Monday, [...]

Wii Workout Week 2 Down

I’ve managed to do two straight weeks of my Wii boxing workout. Not only that, but I’ve managed to stick with the workout while on the road. It’s taken a lot of effort to *make* myself get up and do it while on the road. Much more difficult than when I was home. Part of [...]

Wii Boxing Workout day 4: Ouch!

Today was Day 4 of my new workout and, man, was I feeling beat. My arms were heavier than ever from the muscle fatigue of the week. I lost 3 of the 5 matches I fought. The crunches also were more difficult than they have been.
That being said, it’s only day 4, but I can [...]

If I were Nintendo…

I’d work on developing a Wii Emulator for Windows &/ Mac that could be purchased for about the same price as a Wii game and which would only work after being activated with a registration code from a Wii (serial number perhaps), a bluetooth connection with a Wii remote, and would not allow for Mii [...]

PS3 vs Wii

Now that I have both the PS3 and the Wii, I thought it would be good to compare the two.
Here’s the basics:
PS3: OVERPRICED but you can find it.
Graphics: Amazing
Store Bought Games: Some games, like Resistance Fall of Man and Blazing Angels are great games; others like Sonic suck. At $60 a pop, that’s a not [...]

What’s up, C.K.?

Well, I’ve been twittering. I’ve been playing my new Wii. I’ve also been shopping. I went to Best Buy yesterday and picked up a $20 component switch box, so my HD Cable box, my PS3, and my Wii all reach my wall-mounted 32″ HDTV via the same hidden cable, which makes my wife happy. I [...]

Wii problems…

I wish I had read Jake’s Review of Virtual Console on Nintendo Wii a bit more closely before today. I bought a slew of virtual console games that simply do not work / display on my Sony 32″ WEGA HDTV. That really really sucks. I hope Nintendo comes out with a fix for this soon [...]
