12/10/2004: "Tis the Season for Free Food"

One of the many good things about working in Academia is the number of holiday parties to which one is invited. It also helps that I am in a position where I provide a service to various departments, so in addition to the parties thrown by my department, I am invited to these other department parties, not to mention the one thrown this afternoon by the English Department at Iona, where I teach one class as an Adjunct Professor.

So much for trying to lose weight over the holidays.
