Congratulations to Jason and the Mahalo team for the launch of Mahalo 2.0. The pre-launch press started to trickle out just a few hours ago with several outlets calling the new Mahalo a Wikipedia that pays. As a former employee become investor who now sits on the sidelines cheering on, I like this move. A Wikipedia that pays sounds like a money maker to me. Go team, go!
The new design is nicely similar and in line with the softer, more curved and smooth look we’ve already seen from Mahalo Answers. There’s a new Mahalo Tasks section where you can claim tasks to work on for Mahalo Dollars and there’s a helpful document to show you how Mahalo Tasks works. There’s also another helpful document showing you how to build a Mahalo page.
Best of all, as was the case with version 1.0, all of the new Mahalo 2.0 is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license.
I just did an ego search for myself and my old self-created search result had disappeared, so I started making a new one and claimed it. I’ll have to work on it later and earn my $50. Very cool stuff. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
