I’ve been painting, digitally…

…as well as a bunch of pen and ink drawings over on my YouTube channel. I need to figure out how people do the sped up screencasts of their work in Photoshop / Painter X, so that I can post some videos of the digital painting over there. I guess I could use iShowU to do it, but that seems like a resource hog. If anyone knows of a good way to do this, please let me know.

Cleaned up these two guys. Here’s the original rough sketch, which I’d posted here before:

Also, I’ve been playing around with different brushes in Painter X, trying to get my feel for the program. Here’s a guy I doodled using the grease pencil:

If you look at the original size version, you can see some of the smudgy detail in the nose. I really like this.

    To edit your movies…on PC use screen capture program Camtasia by Techsmith….MAC users like SNAPZ….Camtasia is in beta for MAC and should be out soon too. Great Work!
