5 Cool Things About Obsessable

1. The comparators. They’re cool tools that take all the data that the curators have put into the product pages (like this one for the HTC G1 Google phone) and compare the specs in an easy to navigate interface. This Big and Beautiful HDTV Comparator is a good example of this:

2. The product pages. Again, the T-Mobile G1 page is a good example of what’s cool about these pages: A good overview with key specs and related news below, more details on specifications that you can dive into, pictures, and comments where you can discuss the product or voice your opinion on a product you happen to own.

3. Buying Guides. These help demystify all the things you need to know when going in to buy a new piece of gear. Check out this cell phone buying guide or this HDTV buying guide for examples.

4. Feature articles and Columns. These are everything from How to articles to informative discussions on technology.

5. Vertical-specific search with highly relevant results. For example, if you search for iphone hacks on Obsessable’s Search, you’ll find that there’s not much directly-related Obsessable content, but that doesn’t matter because Obsessable provides you with the best, most relevant search results from trusted resources around the web. (Note: This is my personal favorite!)

The 6th through 10th (and on) things about the site are some of the great people who work there and who I’m fortunate enough to get a chance to work with (as I mentioned before). If you’d be interested in working with us, we’re looking for writers and you can find details on how to apply on Obsessable’s About page.

ps—Digg Obsessable.
