No.

I like my iPhone’s current non-contract pay as you go plan with AT&T, thank you very much. I do hope, however, that someone releases an activation tool so that I can upgrade to iPhone 2.0 without having to spend hours on the phone with AT&T to get the phone reactivated. All those new iPhone apps in the iPhone App Store (*) look very nice. I think the 3G iPhone will ultimately be another iteration of a device that we’ll continue to see updated over the years. The iPhone App Store is the big epic historic event. Those 500 or so apps and all the developers that came together to make them… that’s the real magic going on in Apple land and it’s available to everyone with an iPhone, 3G or no.

Kristin’s iPhone has been acting wonky, so if the 2.0 update doesn’t fix her woes, we may get her an iPhone 3G (*), since she’s already shackled to a contract.
