So, my little-over-a-week-old iPhone has developed a problem. The casing on the right side near the bottom of the bugger has begun to warp. I noticed it when I was browsing the web this morning and the black little cover at the bottom was clicking slightly. Here’s a picture:

I have never dropped this phone. I have never ill-treated this phone. It’s just another bit of faulty Apple product design in effect, just like on my MacBook. Grr…

Is anyone else seeing this? I’m resetting my iPhone to factory settings and trading this in this weekend. Should I stick with the iPhone or get an iPod Touch?

UPDATE: Traded in for a new iPhone. Took 45 minutes of sitting around waiting for the Apple Store to get their act together, despite being told on the phone that I *didn’t* need to schedule a trip to the Genius Bar, etc. Grr. Anyway, all is right as rain now…
