Dear pushy PR emailers…
…you’re approaching spam levels.
Recent culprits:
Versiontracker—yes, I am a former subscriber to your service and I am opted in to your mailing list, BUT I didn’t think that would entail an email a day for the past 3 days reminding me about what a great value I can get on Tech Tool Pro and some other application I don’t need. Please stop spamming me.
Roxio—yes, I’ve purchased Toast and Popcorn in the past and am opted into your mailing list, BUT I didn’t think that would entail numerous emails over the past two weeks informing and re-informing me that yes, there is in fact a newer version of Toast that I can spend my money on. With each subsequent email, I become less convinced of ever buying your products again. Please desist from spamming me.
Griffin—Yes, I used to blog for TUAW, and when I was doing so, I wanted to be a part of your PR mailing list. However, since then, I’ve unsubscribed. Since, I’ve unsubscribed, I have received weekly emails from you saying:
You have requested to be opted back into the Griffin Sales email list.
To confirm your subscription, please click this link or paste it into your browser:

If you do *not* wish to be added to our list, no further action is required.
I never requested to be opted back in, so I take no action. Then I get this again and again and again. I’m sure that I’m in some programmed list of people who should never be off the list that you keep resubmitting. I’ve replied to this email numerous times asking you to cut it out. No action has been taken. Please stop spamming me now, or I will be forced to continue to post about this every single time I receive this damn email until you actually hear my cries of frustration.
