If I were Nintendo…
I’d work on developing a Wii Emulator for Windows &/ Mac that could be purchased for about the same price as a Wii game and which would only work after being activated with a registration code from a Wii (serial number perhaps), a bluetooth connection with a Wii remote, and would not allow for Mii creation, but instead grabbed the Miis stored via Wii remote.
I think given the graphics and hardware on the Wii, this is something that is pretty doable. They wouldn’t risk console market share, because it would only work for people who already purchased a Wii. I’d buy a Wii emulator if there was one. It would make taking my Wii Boxing workout on the road much easier if I could flip open my MacBook and either launch the emulator or reboot into Windows and launch the emulator, sync my Wiimote and get to playing. I mean the MacBook even has an IR port built in that would work nicely for Wii-mote positioning.
What does everyone else think? Good idea or is there a problem I’m not seeing?
Update: Check out this cool link I found while looking into this. Message to Nintendo: build it before the hackers do.

It would be smart of Nintendo to do this. If they don’t then the open-source community here will:

I think there is a far better shot of hackers doing this before Nintendo does anything like this. It is a very cool idea though. When the fiance runs me out of the living room during an intense Zelda session I could just walk upstairs and keep playing.

A registration code? Oh C.K., you optimist you…
