Kristin and I saw a special on Nightline, I think, a few months back, covering
Kiva.org – Kiva.org – Loans that change lives
. I like the idea behind this site. I’d like to see more sites like this online and think more people should participate in this sort of peer to peer betterment of the world.

    A former colleague of mine works over there. I’ve been using it for some time with success — it’s a great service and totally legit. Definitely recommended.

    Micro loans are a big deal. One of my grad students was involved in Cameroon. They have a very high success rate.
