Archiving Gmail

Does anyone know if MailSteward can be used to archive Gmail? Or do I have to try to download all the Gmail via Mail.app first?

Does anyone know of a Gmail archiving solution for OS X?

One Response to Archiving Gmail

I have a two stage, foolproof, GMail back-up plan:

    1. I setup another GMail address and forward a copy of all the emails from my primary account to this secondary account.

    2. I download all my GMail into Mail.app and archive it occasionally.

I don’t remember to do the local Mail.app backups as frequently as I should…but If something should go wrong with my machine, all the emails are still in two locations.
