Open Platform for PLAYSTATION®3

I think I may be installing Linux on my PS3 as a weekend project. Fortunately, Sony supports this with their Open Platform for PLAYSTATION®3; they even provide an Install Manual. Now, the question becomes: what flavor of Linux? Thoughts? Weigh in in the comments.
