taking pics with my lensbaby
Saturday night we had some peeps over for a belated birthday party for yours truly. Lots of alcohol, lots of food, lots of fun, and the Saints won. w00t! Bowl bound, baby!

Yesterday, Kristin took me over to Gamestop and in the complete absence of any Wii, she bought me a PS3 for my birthday. I bought an extra controller, Resistance Fall of Man, and Underworld: Evolution on BlueRay with some birthday money. I’ll still get a Wii (eventually), but for now, I’m glad we got the PS3. I mean, if you have an HDTV (we do), it is amazing looking. Since it interacts so nicely with the PSP and I wrote a book on the PSP, I felt a certain authorial duty to familiarize myself with the system. I’m looking forward to installing Linux on the PS3, and I really like all the integrated online features, although I hope they enable the integrated browser to eventually take advantage of the full 16:9 of my HDTV.

Anybody want me to write PS3 Hacks? Let me know. ;-)

Then, last night, Curt, Marian, and Maggie came over to take me out to dinner for my birthday and give me my presents. I got a nice shirt and a Lensbaby 2.0 for my Nikon D70, which I used to take the picture accompanying this post. Pretty cool stuff. I can’t wait to really play with this lens.

Nice picture. My guess is it was taken from your condo window. Looks cold and gloomy. Glad you had a great birthday. Tell Kristin hello.

I saw the picture and was wondering if it was done with a lensbaby. Heather at dooce.co has been doing alot of photos recently using one. It’s a pretty awesome affect.

Happy Birthday as well.
