Mississippi Christmas: Part 1

Kristin and Thatcher saying goodbye, as we dropped Thatcher off at Kristin’s parents’ place on Friday before flying to Mississippi to visit with my parents for the holiday.
The traveling was going great until we arrived in Memphis to discover that our 7:50pm flight was delayed until 9:43pm. We didn’t take off until just before 10.
Kristin was not amused.
The airport was deserted.
Fortunately, there were interesting things to see like this friendly fellow.

We finally made it home around midnight. The next day Jason and Maria Jose came to visit us and I got to meet little Anna face to face for the first time. I think she recognized me from iChat. Here’s a picture of her and her dad:
We went for a sushi lunch with Jason and Maria Jose:

After lunch we went to visit Santa at the mall. Anna didn’t like him much:

And here’s Anna saying “Hi, Uncle C.K.!” It sounded like a squeal, but I’m sure that’s what she meant.
