It is decided. The Samsung BlackJack is officially my favorite mobile ever. It even trumps my beloved old 3650, despite the lack of hackability that I enjoyed with that device.

I can blog with it (I’m doing so now); via setting up all my Gmail to forward to an Outlook account for $7 a month, I get push mail like a BlackBerry but sans the monthly pricetag of a BlackBerry; I can actually log in to Netscape and navigate both the site and the CMS (although voting doesn’t work, Note to devs!); Newsgator Go! makes RSS reading on this a breeze; and it’s all in a device as small and sleek as the Razor.

The negatives? No Mobile Office suite. There is an app to view Office docs, but the version of Windoze Mobile bundled with this phone is geared to communication and email over being a full-fledged PDA. Not so bad considering it runs nicely without crashing and there is a basic notepad for writing stuff on the go. My other complaint is that I haven’t yet determined a way to reorganize the Start menu to my liking.

Overall, I’m overly pleased with this phone. It makes it easier for me to go mobile with my work and anything that can do that in such a small package is a gadget to be reckoned with.

Oh, yeah, and did I mention: 3G!!!
