I discovered the other day that I have a free pro account to Newsgator, thanks to purchasing a full licensed copy of NetNewsWire back in the day. So, I decided to export all my feeds from Bloglines and import them into Newsgator to give it a shot. After a day, I am totally hooked for three main reasons:

1. The feeds don’t get marked as read until you click a button saying “Mark All Posts On This Page As Read”; the accidental reloading of the page in Bloglines has called many an expletive to shoot forth loudly from my mouth in crowded places.

2. You can actually copy and paste the entire contents of a page of feeds over to TextEdit on OS X and all the pictures and everything will show up. Nice.

3. If I load all my feeds at once, it paginates them. Bloglines loads them all in one big long strip that takes forever and causes Firefox’s memory leak to swing into full effect, slowing my browsing experience into an insanely infuriating crawl.

So, check out Newsgator. Very cool.
