XDrive UploadFree online storage from AOL? No mac client, but it is pretty cool and works via Firefox without a hitch. I’ve been uploading a bunch of videos this morning. I wouldn’t use this as a primary storage option, but redundancy in backups is always good. Get yours here.

I have found it impossible to get this to work. I enter my AIM usr and pwd, as instructed. I enter my first and last name, as instructed. I’m then told that Xdrive is unavailable to me because of the “parental control” settings in my AOL account. What?!? I’m 35 years old! Plus, I don’t HAVE an AOL account, I just use AIM.

So I went to AOL.com to try and remedy the situation. It’s impossible to find any link that will let me alter my “Parental Controls.” And I’m not the only one. Frustrating and annoying.

Do you know if files can be uploaded through FTP or any other way outside the web interface on a Mac? If so, this might be Automator-able.

It’s been working via Firefox for me, but alas, there is no FTP option.
