Gmail for email

Inspired by this post, I’m now running all my email accounts through Gmail. I’m also using Gmail as my primary email “client” now. I’ve noticed recently I’ve been making such switches from software on my computer to services on the Internet (NetNewsWire to Bloglines and now Mail.app to Thunderbird to Gmail).

So, I’ll still POP into Gmail every once-in-a-while to archive my messages on a local disk (while leaving them on the Gmail servers), but I’m all Internet-based email now, which really frees me from the shackles of any one computer.
