Windows and Linux on the Sony PSP

When I first saw this, I had my doubts, but Phillip says “I can confirm that the Linux and DOS ones worked on my PSP…. Remember- don’t ever update your PSP firmware to 2.0, homebrew rules.”

He’s right. Don’t update. Just buy a second PSP and update that one. I mean, if you bought it primarily to play the new PSP games out there, then Sony is going to eventually force you to upgrade the firmware to play some new hot title. Just start saving now and hopefully right around the time they come out with such a game, you’ll be able to afford a second PSP. Or, even better, someone will have cracked 2.0.

I’ll post later here, when I get a chance to try this out on my v.1.5 PSP (I have another one running v.2.0). ;-)
