If the PSP is underclocked, do you want to overclock it or just clock it?

Looks like the PSP ships underclocked:

PSP Underclocked? (It Is) The PSP is underclocked—I didn’t think this was a big secret. Initial reports from my developer friends say that the full clock-speed PSPs don’t have that much worse battery life, so an unlock may come sooner than later. And it should be unlockable—Sony isn’t going to make us buy these all again.

Evidently, it’s underclocked via the firmware, so Sony can release an update wirelessly at any time to “clock” it. It would be nice if they would do this soon, because when I am playing Dynasty Warriors at Chaos Difficulty level, and I am surrounded by enemies and I release a special can of whoop-ass on these enemies, there is notable lag in the games rendering of all those enemies falling to the ground. Unless of course, this is actually a “slow-motion feature” of the game.
