Both of my parents, over the weekend, commented on posts on my blog. I’ve had blogs for years, but this is the first time that my parents have actually read them and started commenting on them (both on the site, on the phone, and via email and chat). Really cool, but also a little unnerving.

Ummm…you might want to look into your Movable Type config, then, if they’ve been using the comment feature. The comment counters for all your atricles seem to be set at 0.

I use WordPress, not MT, and I have an over-vigilant spam-comment filter.
