Sketching Beckett

So, I put my drawing board in the new easel tonight and started sketching. I will eventually use it for painting too, but I am a sketch artist first and foremost. Here's what the easel looks like, set up in the corner with a lamp clamped to it in low lighting: easel is use I picked up my copy of the Samuel Beckett Reader and sketched (in pen and ink) a loose drawing of Beckett based on the cover: Beckett sketch I made his head a bit thicker and not as tall as it should be, and I'm not really that pleased with his nose, but all in all, I'd say it's recognizable. It's not finished yet, but so far so good. Not too shabby...
