I can’t wait until this comes out for the 4G:

An easy to use GUI program that enables Mac OS X user with iPods to install linux on their HFS formatted ipods while still allowing you to keep and use the Apple Supplied OS. Currently supports all but the photo, 4g, U2, and Mini iPods.
