This is the coolest little freeware app I've heard about in a while (there is a shareware version with added functionality):

DV Backup 1.0
DV Backup lets you use a digital camcorder (DV or Digital8, PAL or NTSC) to backup hard disk files. [Mac OS X Downloads]
